Re: AVHRR OISST Outage due to impacts at NCEI
As a short term workaround, the most recent available OISST files have been renamed with new dates in filenames, and restaged on the CSPP Geo ancillary server. This will allow continued operation of the AIT Framework package, which currently requires OISST files with a date within the last 7 days. T...

AVHRR OISST Outage due to impacts at NCEI
Hello, Due to impacts from Hurricane Helene, NCEI's website and processing is currently down without any current estimated return to service. This impacts users who run CSPP Geo AIT Framework and GEOCAT Level 2 software packages as many products require the AVHRR OISST product from NCEI. The CSPP Ge...

Re: VIIRS ellipsoid and terrain-corrected geolocation files
Hello, The NOAA Algorithm Development Library (ADL) allows the operational processing algorithms for the JPSS series of satellites (SNPP, NOAA-20, NOAA-21) to run without modification in a Linux environment. Our CSPP SDR software is based on this ADL software, so you can use (or continue to use) the...

Re: Problem with anciliary data both with cache and not
Alejandro,
Just a note that I updated the previous post to correct the script and additional information about what output we would want to see the next time you encounter this issue.
Let us know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
~Jess

Re: Problem with anciliary data both with cache and not
Hi Alejandro, The team talked and we would ask that if you encounter this problem again to please run your aitf-update-cache processing command with increased verbosity by adding -vvvv to the aitf-update-cache script. This should then emit more debugging information to the screen output which will b...

Re: GEOCAT AHI resolution
Hi Andrew, The Level 2 algorithm output resolutions are generally defined by the individual science teams. Our role in CSPP Geo GEOCAT is to provide the capability for users to easily create these products. If you had questions on specific algorithms, we would suggest you contact the individual soft...
