Will the ".patch" files be available, and, if yes, when?
Thank you

Re: Patches after ADL4.2+Mx7.2
Sergey,
There are no patches after ADL 4.2+Mx7.2, only full ADL release DVD packages. The ADL release DVD packages can be obtained either via Common CM or the UW download site at:
https://jpss-adl-wiki.ssec.wisc.edu/med ... /Downloads.
Thanks,
Sara

Yes, I've seen that. Is there any particular reason for abandoning the patches?
Thank you,

Re: Patches after ADL4.2+Mx7.2
It's not that they're not provided, but just that there aren't new patches for the tarball releases.
That said, if you're using the system installed perl, and if you can deal with the ADL_Unpacker crashing on exit (after all of the real work is done, and only if you have a too new version of the HDF libraries on your system), you don't really need the patches. I no longer use any of them for my CentOS 5.x and Scientific Linux 6 installs.

Re: Patches after ADL4.2+Mx7.2
I have used the 5_8 patch on the 8.1 tar ball without changes. Changing the perl splat lines is a separate operation, not in the patch.
