Valid for Win 8.1 or must be installed on Win 7 or lower?

Dear All

First of all, I have to thank all great peoples who adopted this initiatives and produced to researchers and end users IMAPP and other processing softwares. For now, I need to know whether IMAPP VA 2.0 works on windows 8.1 or not.

Hello Wahid, I think the key is whether you can install a version of VMware Player on your Win 8.1 machine, since IMAPP VA 2.0 is really a collection of bash scripts plus executables compiled for a Linux computer, specifically Lubuntu 14.04.1 LTS. We provide a complete instance of this Linux machine in our imapp_va_2.7z file, together with all the IMAPP scripts and programs. So if you can uncompress our imapp_va_2.7z file and have a VMware Player for Win 8.1 it SHOULD work. Having said that, I only tested in Win 7 Enterprise, Mac OSX 10.9.5 and Centos 6.
