Any guidance on when we will see 3.0?
Any guidance on when we will see 3.0?
Hi.
Any guidance on when ADL 3.0 (beta or otherwise) will be made available?
Grace and peace,
Jim Biard

Re: Any guidance on when we will see 3.0?
I second the question! Last I heard, it would drop on June 30.
If the forum has been quiet, it's not that nobody is interested; we've been patiently waiting for the next delivery.

All -
Since folks are coming here for info, I'll post the current status here.
The U. W. ADL Team received the ADL 3.0 beta late in the day on Friday, June 24. Since then they have been working diligently to get the package to build against the designated versions of the specified COTS. This is a necessary step for U. W. to be able to provide support for the software that they are, effectively, unleashing on the community. A number of build issues have been encountered and resolved with the help of the Raytheon team. The current best estimate is that the build will be packaged (including guidance for installation and building against the COTS) and available for download sometime on Wednesday, July 6. This is later than previously predicted, and I apologize for the delay, but the team is moving forward as expeditiously as possible.

Great! I have no objections to U.W. doing the initial build and packaging. Much better for one person (and someone other than me
) to do the initial debugging than for all of us to pull our hair out together.

Paul, is there a mailing list or some other way to get ADL release info? It's a pain to get all my info from this forum, since there's no RSS feed.

Gwyn -
Send me an email (paul.meade@noaa.gov) and I'll add you to my "ADL Users" list. It's not a listserv or anything - just an address book list of folks that I send ADL announcements out to when I have something to announce.

At the bottom of every forum page is a "subscribe" link. If you subscribe to the main forum topics, you'll be notified by the forum by e-mail when anything new is posted.gfireman wrote:Paul, is there a mailing list or some other way to get ADL release info? One thing to keep in mind about forum subscriptions - they are not recursive. It does no good to subscribe to the top-level ADL forum. You must subscribe to each low-level forum that you have interest in.

How about a means of obtaining ADL 3.0 via ftp? That would be helpful.

What kinds of problems if any, are people experiencing with the HTTPS downloads?
