Hi,
I am trying to run the XML editor in the virtual machine. I installed the latest version JAVA v1.6.0_22 and configured the env variables (JAVA_HOME and PATH). When I rum "xmled", I got the following error:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: pro/cat3/xml/viewer/ProXmlJTreeFrame : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0

at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)

Could not find the main class: pro.cat3.xml.viewer.ProXmlJTreeFrame. Program will exit.
Can anybody help on this?
Thanks a lot!
using xml editor
Re: using xml editor
You might have already done this, but try rebuilding the java code:
And then try starting the XML editor again.
Additionally, execute
$JAVA_HOME/bin/java -version
and verify it's the expected version.
Code: Select all
$> cd $ADL_HOME/java
$> ant clean
$> ant
Additionally, execute
$JAVA_HOME/bin/java -version
and verify it's the expected version.

Re: using xml editor
Thanks, Kevin,
It works now.
I think the reason is "ANT_HOME" was not correctly setup.

Re: using xml editor
Actually, I am learning XHTML but have been advised to use an XML editor. I would prefer a good freeware for learning initially and then throw a few dollars down for something else later.
