Dear Colleagues,
For the last two weeks, access to the ancillary NOAA AVHRR Sea Surface Temperature (SST) daily file (i.e., avhrr-only-v2.20151201_preliminary.gz) that is required in order to successfully execute the Community Satellite Processing Package (CSPP) Cloud and Land Surface Retrieval (CLAVRx) software has been unavailable using the ancillary download script. To resolve this problem, a new script has been developed that accesses the data from the University of Wisconsin JPSS direct broadcast ancillary archive.
To update your software, please follow the instructions below. Linux terminal commands included in these instructions assume the bash shell is used.
cd $CSPP_CLAVRX_HOME/scripts
mv get_anc_avhrr_sst.sh get_anc_avhrr_sst.sh.old
wget ftp://ftp.ssec.wisc.edu/pub/CSPP/clavrx ... hrr_sst.sh
chmod u+x get_anc_avhrr_sst.sh
