Dear Colleagues,
This message is to announce the sunset of the CSPP Ancillary Site for SDR Versions 1.5 and prior (http://jpssdb.ssec.wisc.edu/ancillary/). Due to failing hardware, dynamic ancillary and Look-Up-Table (LUT) distribution for Versions 1.5 and prior will be decommissioned on 1 March, 2016. Users running CSPP SDR Version 2.0 or greater will not be impacted.
For users still running CSPP SDR Version 1.5 or prior, you will need to upgrade to the latest CSPP version (2.1). SDR Processing will break 7 days after the sunset date if you do not upgrade due to outdated files.
The latest CSPP SDR software, documentation and test data are all available for download from the CSPP website: http://cimss.ssec.wisc.edu/cspp/.
Regards,
The CSPP Team
Sunset of CSPP Ancillary site for SDR Versions 1.5 and prior
Re: Sunset of CSPP Ancillary site for SDR Versions 1.5 and p
We are running version 2.1 but have used the 1.5 site to get historic TLE and PolarWander files to process older data sets. With the old data going away is there a way to use TLEs and PolarWander files from CLASS?
Thanks,
Mark Esplin

Re: Sunset of CSPP Ancillary site for SDR Versions 1.5 and p
Hello Mark,
The http://jpssdb.ssec.wisc.edu/ancillary/ website will not be deleted, it will just not be updated anymore. We do have plans to have a complete archive of ancillary data for the entire JPSS S-NPP record from one site, but we are waiting to see what changes may be coming with the new ADL software that supports both S-NPP and JPSS-1. There may be modifications to the way ancillary data is staged and used with this software. We are not sure yet.
Cheers,
Kathy
