FYI. We have been going through the ADL 2.0 version of the VIIRS code here at Aerospace in preparation for our rehearsal activities. We have discovered that the Solar Diffuser portion of VIIRS SDR calibration is not yet present in ADL 2.0. This will be necessary for our code verification activities.
We have brought this to Tim Dormand's and Richard Ullman's attention. Rich took the action to talk to Raytheon about the issue.

Re: Missing Solar Diffuser Calibration code in ADL 2
SDSM code had been scheduled for release with ADL 3.1 (ca. 9/1) but following what I've heard today from Tim Dorman and Rich Ullman indirectly and by an exchange of phone messages with Frank, I've started talking with Raytheon about possibly bringing it out in 3.0 instead (6/30 release). SDSM works a little differently, in terms of its relationship to granules as inputs, than the rest of the VIIRS processes, so there are some issues that we need to resolve but I am hopeful we can have that sorted out in a time frame of a few days to week to then see if the move-up to 3.0 is feasible. We'll be talking about this with the VSDRP cal-val team off line as well.
